A dual-sport motorcycle is a street-legal motorcycle that is designed for both on and off-road use. I think for our purposes the terms dual-sport and dual-purpose mean the same thing. The classifications described in the wiki article are useful. Lightweight- 250-300 lbs, Middleweight- 300-350 lbs, Heavyweight: 300+ lbs.
